PerTronix 40101 Ignitor Epoxy Filled 40,000 Volt Ignition Coil with 1.5 Ohms Resistance in Chrome

The Flame-Thrower canister style coil has been engineered to complement our Ignitor Electronic Ignition Conversion Kits and Plug n’ Play Distributors. Choose from the Flame-Thrower, Flame-Thrower II, and the Flame-Thrower III depending upon system voltage and resistance. Oil filled coils offer great heat control for street driven vehicles, while epoxy filled coils provide superior winding support for high vibration environments in off-road vehicles and boats. Oil filled coils must be mounted vertically. For applications where vertical coil mounting is not possible, we recommend our epoxy filled canister coils or our HV/HP/HC E-Core coils.

The Flame Thrower canister coil is designed to mate with the Ignitor Electronic Conversion Kit, but can benefit virtually any distributor type inductive systems. Higher voltage allows larger spark plug gap for added power, smoother response, and improved fuel economy.
